VA-900 Liquid Antioxidant is a highly concentrated blend of BHT antioxidant with standard transformer oil.
VA-900 saves time and money in transformer maintenance. It’s added directly into a transformer without the need for lengthy service outages and costly and time-consuming circulation, heating and filtration of the oil. VA-900 Liquid Antioxidant mixes easily inside the transformer and is tested with standard laboratory test methods.
When added at only 2% treatment, VA-900 will bring the antioxidant concentration of an oil back to its original level. One or two workers can treat a large transformer in hours. No more processing trailers. No more preheating the oil. No mixing and filtering for hours! No hoses and processors to connect and disconnect, meaning far less chance of a spill!
Used regularly, VA-900 will prevent acid formation due to overheating and ageing.

Will your VoltCool additives work with food grade mineral oil?
VoltCool Transformer Maintenance Additives are made specifically for enhancement of napthenic transformer oil made to IEC 60296 / ASTM D3487 specifications. Their performance in other types of base oils has not been tested, and may be affected by different chemical structure. We don’t recommend the use of pharmaceutical mineral oil, or “white oils” as dielectric coolants precisely because they have not been sufficiently processed for safe, long term use.
